Surf 101

I’ve just spent five weeks of my life, in the hot sun, every morning, capturing the moments of children, on their summer vacations, learning to surf.

This portrait is an example of my 18mm lens.The kids were catching waves on the first day and having a blast.Nick Isabella-all around water man taught them body surfing and boogie boarding, along with surfing.Tandems were great!Then there was the day when – Scott Moore – showed up. He makes his high rise biking style look easy. I was tempted to try it. Then there were the days it was too rough to surf. We always had Friday Luau-to look forward to.
